Check-in to your entertainment!

That’s what GetGlue said!

After knowing about GetGlue few months ago, finally I decided to create an account. :D

What is GetGlue?
GetGlue is social media where you check-in and share shows, movies, musics, books, or simply everything you do.

So what are the differences between 4sq and GetGlue?
While foursquare shares your places, GetGlue share your activities, especially the one related to entertainment.
In GetGlue, there is only one official shows / movies / musics / books to checking-in. Not like foursquare where there are so many duplicate places to checking-in.

One thing that makes GetGlue interesting is its stickers!
This is like foursquare badges. After you checking-in to your favorite shows, movies and music, you will get stickers. There are also limited time sticker which is available in a very short time, for example in opening weekend of a movie.

And the best thing: you can order the physical copies of the sticker for FREE !!! \(^^)/
You can order the physical copies every 20 stickers and only once in a month.

Here’s my stickers:

I’ve already order my first batch of stickers yesterday. I wish they safely arrive at my house soon! :)

Snow White and The Huntsman (2012)

Snow White and The Huntsman

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

Snow White is the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen. Unable to tolerate the insult to her vanity, the evil queen decides that Snow White must die. The queen sends a huntsman to kill Snow White. However the huntsman finds himself unable to murder the innocent young woman, and instead ends up training her to become a warrior capable of threatening the queen’s reign. (Source: IMDB)

Hollywood enlivened again with fairy tale adaptation movie; this time is Snow White turns.

If you wish to see cute-colorful-melodious fairy tale a la Disney, just prepared to be disappointed. Rupert Sanders, the director, brings Snow White story with darker and gothic tone. There are some modifications from the well-known Snow White fairy tale, but it doesn’t eliminate the characteristic of the story; a mirror, an apple, seven dwarfs, and a kiss. I think the movie itself is good. Despite being turned upside down, the story remains coherent and still leave the impression of Snow White tale.

What makes me disappointed to this movie is Kristen Stewart act. She is really lack of expression. She is the main role of the movie, the princess who lived, the one who believed as the fairest one, the one who should gather the power of her people to bring the Queen Ravenna’s throne down, … but her expression remains like this:

Kristen Stewart

Really is not a charming princess. Even her war speech doesn’t seem full of spirit and enthusiastic, probably because her expression too.
I thought she will act better than in that sparkling-vampire-movie, but I was wrong.
K-Stew, don’t be an actor, you are much much much better as a model.

The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth), Snow White and The Huntsman (2012)

Chris Hemsworth as The Huntsman is pretty good. The role fit him perfectly; the body, the deep voice, the beard. <3
Sadly, I can’t see the chemistry between The Huntsman and Snow White. The Prince Charming (Sam Claflin) is good but not too dominant, probably because he is not the one in the movie title.
I think it is better if the director brings more chemistry of their love triangles instead of filling the film with scenes that are less important.

And what makes this movie good? Charlize Theron! She is very very very good. You can see her as a cruel Queen Ravenna, but in the other hand, you also can see her as a fragile woman because of her obsession towards beauty. Ravenna’s childhood memories also support the character’s role well.

So, who is the fairest of them all? Charlize Theron, it is !!! :P

Despite many shortcomings here and there, I think this fairy tale adaptation movie is good. :)

Harry Potter. It all ends.

Ga baru-baru amat sih nontonnya, tapi kemarin.

Aiiih… (copas dari tulisan sebelumnya)

Di sini saya ga bermaksud me-review secara detail Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 2.

Seri-seri selanjutnya selalu saya tunggu walaupun akhirnya pinjam punya teman lagi. Ah iya, saya hanya punya “Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets” yang akhirnya hilang saat pindahan rumah. Saya juga punya “Quidditch Through The Ages” dan “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” yang bernasib serupa, hilang saat pindahan.

Pada tahun 2001, film “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone” rilis. Tentu saja saya menontonnya, tak lupa membeli VCD nya. Walaupun pas awalnya saya bilang, “ah ga sama kayak di buku”, “ah banyak yang dikurangin”, blablabla.., toh saya akhirnya tetep ngikutin dan selalu nunggu seri filmnya setiap mau rilis.

Tahun 2007, buku HP yang terakhir terbit dengan judul “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows”. Tak lama setelah bukunya sampai di tangan, saya khusyu’ sekali baca pagi siang malam. Padahal seperti biasa, abis baca buku, sebulan kemudian juga saya udah lupa ceritanya. Apalagi sekarang kalo ditanya mah kelaut aja deh.

Penasaran. Gregetan.

Fluktuatif lah. Harry paling ganteng di “Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire” doang pas rambutnya panjang.

Ceritanya boleh “It all ends”, tapi kayaknya legenda cerita HP ini ga bakal berakhir deh. :)
